Note: Wheelchairs and prams welcome – the inclinator (lift) will be operated from 10:30am to 4:00pm.– Free Admission

The Friends of Lisgar Gardens and Hornsby Council  invite you to our 22d edition of the Camellia Gala Day.

Geoff Duggan – Expert on Dry Stone Walls

Geoff Duggan, Registered Master Craftsman, advanced instructor, examiner and member of the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain. His work can be seen at the Mt Annan Australian Botanic Garden.

> From 11:00 to 12:10, Geoff Duggan will introduce us to Dry Stone Walls

> From 12:20 to 12:50, a member of the Eryldene Foundation(TBC) will speak on Pr. EG Waterhouse, who co-founded the Australian and New Zealand Camellia Research Society and built the Eryldene house and garden in Gorden with his wife Janet.

Sandy Marker on Ikebana

Sandy Marker, Sogetsu Ikebana teacher, 2015 Norman and Mary Sparnon scholarship winner for Australia. Sogetsu Ikebana is a school of Japanese art of flower arrangement.

> From 15:00 to 15:30, Sandy Marker will offer a demonstration of Sogetsu Ikebana.

 

 

Origami & paper craft – Hanae Bansemer
Hanae Bansemer and Sayoko Burton, experienced Japanese origami artists, Hanae and Sayoko enjoy sharing their knowledge and teaching others about different origami techniques and styles.
