A nature-themed Monoprinting workshop,
with artist and printmaker Michelle Mabbott.
The art workshops have two time spots: 11.00 – 12.30 and 2.00 – 3.30. The art workshops will involve Gelli printing cards/envelopes; plus there will be colour-in sheets. Each session is 15-20 minutes long and a donation to cover the cost of materials – $2, $1, 50c. You will have the pleasure to bring back home a Gelli printing artwork.
The workshop consists of an introduction on Gelatine Plate Printmaking, Monoprinting and Ghost Prints. Then the guests are invited to collect natural materials for printing, within Lisgar Garden.
Gelatine Plate Monoprinting without a printing press is an easy and immensely productive artform for all children and adults to enjoy.
This workshop encourages artistic creativity and an appreciation for nature combined. Simple materials give unique and satisfying results.
The process is immediate, with room for personal challenge and improvement to the prints produced.
